I've just returned home after a week spent in Copenhagen, and this is an attempt to capture my raw impressions.

One might think that when you visit a place three times in half a year, that place would become tiresome – but I feel quite the opposite. With each visit, I grow more certain that I'd love to live there.

This time, the purpose of my visit was the Naive Yearly conference, organised by Kristoffer Tjalve, whose newsletter Naive Weekly I subscribe to. The conference's "Room for the quiet, odd & poetic web" tagline truly encapsulated its essence. As soon as I stepped into the room, I felt the softness that is so characteristic of what Kristoffer creates and shares.

There were many people from the are.na community, which is also a distinctive group of individuals I feel a part of.

Great food, kind people, and positive vibes all around. We even took a boat ride to the afterparty, which was a pleasant surprise.

The remaining days in Copenhagen were filled with bike rides, dips in the sea, browsing vintage shops, enjoying buns with butter and cheese, batch brews, and a variety of pastries. And this special kind of calmness.

I'm pondering whether life there would be just as wonderful if one didn't only visit on vacation, but truly lived there. – I shared this concern with a few locals living in Copenhagen during the conference, and they assured me that my idyllic perception might be likely close to the truth. So, who knows? Maybe someday?

We bumped into conference attendees at various spots in the following days. I regret being a bit introverted and shy to approach them. I think we could vibe.

Returning home is always a bit melancholic. It seems unfair that some don't have access to things that so significantly enhance the quality of life. I understand that this sentiment is quite privileged, but still.

Good bye, for now, Copenhagen.
Hope to see you soon.

Take care 🌱
