I had an amazing day soaking up the sun by the water. We went back to our favorite spot, the Kalvebod Bølge pier. This time, a quick dip turned into several strokes. I can't even explain how great I felt after coming out of the cold water. It was pure happiness.

Time passed by without me even realizing it. I had planned to read, but before I knew it, it was suddenly 5 p.m. and we were both craving a snack. We decided to try Atelier September, a bit fancier place that was recommended to us. We were hoping to enjoy their tasty sourdough bread with fresh butter, just like we did the day before at La Banchina. Unfortunately, when we got there, most of the good stuff was already gone.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing in Rosenborg Castle Garden, where it was bustling with people. It was nice to see so many folks enjoying themselves.

We rode our bikes home as the sun was setting. I love that feeling when I come home in the evening, my body still tingling from a day spent in the sun.

Three things I’m proud of:

• saw this girl drop her keys while riding her bike, so I kinda chased her to return them to her
• overcame my hesitation and jumped into the water more quickly
• read another chapter from Rilke's "Letters to a Young Poet," which I'm really enjoying
